Matt Pendola has been a successful athletic trainer for over 20 years. He opened his gym, Pendoa Training, in 2004 in Reno, NV, where he has trained hundreds of elite high school, collegiate, and professional athletes. Matt’s background includes being a nationally-ranked high school runner, a disaster and fire response Team Leader for Americorps NCCC, and Head Sawyer for the Flagstaff Hotshots. Matt’s Education and Experience include: Performing Edge Coaching Professional (Performing Edge Coaching International 2020), Reno Orthopedic Clinic Return to Sports Strength Coach, EXOS Performance Specialist, Jack Daniel’s VDOT 02 Distance Certified Running Coach, Road Runner’s Club of America (RRCA) Coach, Bobby McGee Run Transformation Camp Strength and Wellness Coach, Athlete’s Performance Institute-Sports Nutrition, Mindset, Strength Training certifications and Nevada State licensed massage and manual therapist (NVMT #9941) Recent Accomplishments include: First Place age group finish at The North Face Endurance Challenge (November 2019) and The Burton Creek Train Run (June 2019), Won the Elite Spartan World Championships Masters Division (2015), Age group runner up Duathlon Nationals (2015), and Vineman 70.3 Series Ironman Current Projects include: Pendola Project Relative Run Readiness Online Strength Training for Runners, Pendola Strong E-book series, Return to Sports video series with Dr. Naomi Alberston, and MDP (McGee Distance Pendola) - a coaching synthesis for endurance runners with Bobby McGee.
