Meet Derick Williamson

Derick Williamson

Derick holds a master’s degree in Sports Science and Nutrition from the University of Texas at Austin, as well as an undergraduate degree in Health Promotion and minor in Exercise Science from Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina. He also has his USAC Level 1 coaching certification (USAC’s highest level) and is USAC Power Coaching Certified as well as being a USA Triathlon Level II and Paratriathlon Certified Coach. Derick competed as a NCAA Division I runner and earned all-conference honors. Additionally, in recognition of both his academic and athletic achievements, Derick received a distinguished NCAA Post Graduate Scholarship. Derick has been a professional coach since 2003 during which time he was the head physiologist at an Austin based human performance lab, has run indoor training studios, training camps throughout the world and has been the Head Coach for USAT’s Paratriathlon Resident Team at the Olympic Paralympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, CO.
